The Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agents of the Czech Republic (ACCKA) is a national non-profit association that was founded in 1991 and today represents more than 240 businesses in the tourism sector. Our full members are tour operators and travel agents engaged in both inbound and outbound travel. Foreign travel agents, hotels, Tourist boards and commercial companies that provide services for our members can become affiliated members.

The principal objectives of ACCKA are to represent and promote the interests of the tourism industry, especially the interests of travel agents and tour operators. In practise this means that ACCKA monitors and follows up issues of a legal, economic or technical nature relating to the tourism industry in the Czech Republic. Representatives of ACCKA are invited to participate in a consultation process during the preparation of national tourism-related legislation.

Twice a year ACCKA organises a general assembly of the members called Congress of ACCKA, once a year a meeting of the Incoming section and issues Aktuality – a newsletter with current information about the travel and tourism sector. In addition ACCKA organises fam trips and educational tours for tour operators, provides consultancy services and organises participation in trade exhibitions and fairs. It also runs a programme of seminars and educational courses and acts as a first point of contact in the Czech Republic for foreign companies. ACCKA lays stress on business ethics and all our members enter into an obligation to follow our code of conduct.

ACCKA is a member of ECTAA (European Travel Agents´ and Tour Operators´ Associations), whose meetings it participates in. Members of ACCKA are thus regularly informed about current developments in European legislation.

In April 2014 ACCKA became a collective member of The Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Crafts CZ.
