SECTION FOR EUROPEAN AFFAIRS

  • CHAIRMAN - ROMAN ŠKRABÁNEK

The section coordinates ACCKA´s membership in the European association ECTAA, prepares and transmits EU information regarding the tourism to the Presidium and members. It participates in commenting on upcoming EU acts, provides communication with other associations, members of ECTAA. The section represents ACCKA in European negotiations and presents information from regular meetings of ECTAA. It works closely with the Legislative section.

 

LEGISLATIVE AND ETHICAL SECTION

Legislative section ensures meetings with ministries, government organizations and authorities. It comments on the presented draft acts and other jurisdictions relating to tourism industry, with the aim of benefit for businesses. It arranges negotiations to improve competitiveness in the market, tries to create harmony between tour operators, travel agencies and consumers, and to prevent illegal activities. It works on the comments and proposals for the European association ECTAA and presents its results to members.

Ethical section resolves disputes among members and ensures compliance with the ACCKA´s Code of Ethics. It promotes ethics in tourism and oversees that unfair trade practices in tourism are properly sanctioned.

 

SECTION OF TOUR OPERATORS AND RETAILERS

The section deals with the tour operators’ work in relation to business partners (especially retailers, airlines and coach carriers, financial service providers and others.). It provides information and recommendations to the contractual relationship based on the travel contract. It also resolves the issue of travel services online sale.

 

SECTION OF INCOMING TRAVEL

The purpose of the section is to give members of ACCKA the information about incoming travel to the Czech Republic, therefore it regularly organizes meetings of incoming section with specialized program with a focus on new developments in legislation, current EU information, cities and counties presentation and introduction of other interesting news from practice.

 

SECTION FOR EXHIBITIONS AND TRADE FAIRS

The section ensures the participation of ACCKA in tourism fairs - GO and Regiontour Brno and Holiday World in Prague and participates in organisation of international workshop TRAVEL MEETING POINT. The section negotiates advantageous terms and conditions of members´ participation in trade fairs. It also creates an accompanying program during the fair. It participates in organization of ACCKA´s events such as bi-annual Congress, fam trips and other social events.

 

SECTION OF TRANSPORT

  • CHAIRMAN – BOHUSLAV JURAČKA
  • MEMBERS OF THE SECTION – R. ŠKRABÁNEK, P. KRAUS, N. MUMULOS

The task of the Section is preparing documentation for taxation of occasional personal transport in various EU Member States, finding out the existing legislation for bus operators and initiating the observance of bus transportation safety provided by tour operators.

 

THE EDITOR OF ACCKA

The Editor regularly publishes the newsletter for members, the online version called “Aktuality”, in which there are invitations to current events, analysis of domestic and foreign tourism, reports from Association´s events. Updating of photo archive and creating ACCKA´s Yearbook is also an important part of his activities.

ECTAA: Air Belgium lets passengers and companies down: Failure to refund impacts customers and Travel Industry

Brussels, 21 September 2023 – The Belgian airline "Air Belgium" announced on Monday its decision to cease all passenger flights starting from 3 October 2023. While grappling with the fallout of this suddennannouncement, passengers and travel companies are left in dismay as Air Belgium fails to process any refunds for the affected bookings in the IATA Billing and Settlement System.

European travel agents and tour operators meet to ensure that travelers can return to Rhodes and Corfu

Almost 100 representatives of travel agencies and tour operators from all of Europe participated in a workshop to take stock of the situation in Rhodes and Corfu. Holiday demand in these islands is still strong and the current situation requires a good knowledge of the suppliers and connection with local organizations and authorities.
