TRAVEL MEETING POINT in numbers

The 2015 TRAVEL MEETING POINT again proved to be the top event of its kind in the Czech Republic.

The fact that the number of exhibitors rose by 15% to 194 in 2015 compared to the previous year shows that the tourism sector as well as the event are very attractive to tourism professionals.

15 countries were represented at TRAVEL MEETING POINT (Italy, Uzbekistan, Slovakia, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Croatia, Cyprus, Jamaica, Portugal, France, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria), and national tourism offices of Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia presented workshops at which the total number of 117 entities were presented. The Dominican Republic, Cyprus and the Italian island of Sardiny used these presentations to prove that they are important tourist destinations. 

For the first time this year, an event entitled Czech Republic – Land of Stories, INCOMING WORKSHOP took place within the trade fair on October 20, 2015 in the recently opened Congress Hall of the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition center.

The workshop was organized by the official CzechTourism agency in cooperation with PVA EURO EXPO, Association of Czech Travel Agents (ACK ČR) and the Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agents of the Czech Republic (ACČKA). Within the workshop, Czech companies engaged in the tourist industry had a chance to meet 62 international buyers on 10-minute long, organized business meetings. The buyers came both from European countries and outside of Europe: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Scandinavia, Great Britain, USA, China, Hong-Kong, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and United Arab Emirates.
