Czech tour operators attended a fam trip to Malaysia, which was prepared by the AČCKA in cooperation with the Malaysian Association of Travel Agents MATTA.

The main part of the fam trip was to visit hotels, establish business cooperation, but also to discover the best that the destination has to offer.

The first part of the programme was hosted by Tourism Selangor under the leadership of Ms Khuzaimah Binti Jamaluddin.

The Selangor region showed the participants an introduction of course to the Malaysian "must see" - Batu cave with a Hindu shrine, located only 13 km from Kuala Lumpur. In addition, they didn't miss the Blue Mosque (Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque), including a view from the top of the minaret, a night cruise and moonlight firefly watching at Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park, and were lucky enough to see the Sky Mirror - a mysterious island that appears in the middle of the sea for just a few days each month, providing plenty of unique photo opportunities. They also tried rock climbing, a jungle survival course, a quad bike ride through the rice fields, as well as a relaxing local dessert preparation and traditional scarf batiking. During their stay they sampled traditional and modern Malaysian cuisine.

The second part of the programme took place in the Perak region under the auspices of Tourism Perek. Here, travelers could see the Leaning Tower in Teluk Intan, which served as a water reservoir and houses a clockwork from London, the traditional old town of Ipoh and a visit to the Taiping Zoo & Night Safari, Taiping Lake Garden or the Sunway Lost World Of Tambun theme park. They visited the local Aboriginal Village at Orang Asli Aboriginal Village by boat, tried bamboo rafting and walked through the world's oldest rainforest to see the world's largest flower - the rafflesia, albeit flowering.

Tourism Perak also prepared the participants of the fam trip to explore the Malaysian fauna. On the island of Bukit Merah Orang-Utan Asli, a local foundation is dedicated to orangutan conservation and educational and research programmes. The island is home to a total of 16 orangutans that were born or rescued here. The group had the opportunity to observe these apes for several hours and learn about the similarities between orangutans and humans.

Many thanks and we appreciate the cooperation with our Malaysian partners: the MATTA Association, Tourism Selangor and Tourism Perak.
