A group of Czech tour operators went on an info trip to Georgia, specifically to Batumi and its surroundings, between 30.11.-5.12.2024.
The programme included mostly hotel sites inspections, but also guided tour of Batumi city, botanical garden, historical Gonio-Apsaros Fortress or a walk to the waterfalls.
Important part of this tour was a proffesional workshop with local partners - in addition to Visit Batumi representatives, there was an opportunity to meet with 13 local travel agencies, hotels and other service providers. Among them were also representatives of some of the 12 hotels visited.
As Georgia is also characterized by local cuisine, there were also excellent restaurants throughout the stay. In addition, participants also tried their hand at preparing a traditional dish, khachapuri. There were also demonstrations of traditional music and regional dances. Georgia's national folk music is a UNESCO Intangible Heritage Site.
Many thanks to Visit Batumi and the Embassy of Georgia in the Czech Republic for the opportunity to visit this attractive region.
